The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old is crafted from the harmonious combination of sherry seasoned American and European oak casks from Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. This expression opens with inviting aromas of fudge, candied citrus, vanilla, and soft spice. The palate reveals layers of milk chocolate raisins and creamy toffee, complemented by orange peel and gentle spice, leading to a medium finish with lingering sweet oak. Rich yet approachable, it delivers a smooth and multi-layered sensorial experience.

Made from 100% New Zealand grown malted barley, smoked using native Manuka wood and distilled through Thomson's copper pot stills. Natural smoke, cinnamon, clove, Manuka oils.

Quercus Alba is the Latin name for 'American white Oak' and this limited edition whisky is packed with oaky flavour. The heavy char on the virgin oak cask, Thomson's first and only cask of this kind, has activated rich tannins, dark toffee and deep wood flavours. The liquid inside is Manuka Smoke single malt, one of Thomson's most identifiable flavour profiles and a signature of their distillery. It's made using locally grown malt that has been smoked with native Manuka wood, mashed, fermented and then double distilled through the Thomson all copper pot stills.
