Marlborough Pinot Noir is making a name for its luscious textures, red berry aromatics, and complex, rewarding wines. Sourcing our Pinot Noir fruit from the finest vineyards in the Southern Valley sub-region, this wine is sophisticated, intriguing, and is the perfect accompaniment to BQ meats, nutty cheese, and mushroom dishes.

A truly great New Zealand Pinot Noir, this concentrated and silky Single Vineyard Pinot Noir is made with minimal intervention to ensure it is a true representation of site, soul and season. Spicy aromas of wild thyme, leather, violets, dark cherries and plums. On the palate, the fine tannins are a real feature, and couple with a lengthy finish. Best enjoyed with hearty beef dishes, or cellar for the next 12 years (if you can refrain from opening now!).

Patriarche Père & Fils is one of Burgundy's oldest and most respected houses with over 240 years of winemaking tradition. This Pinot Noir is vinified using traditional Burgundian methods, with 15 days of vatting and stainless steel aging to preserve its bright, fruit-driven profile. In the glass, it reveals an intense red colour with purple reflections, opening to a bouquet of fresh red berries - strawberry, raspberry, blackcurrant - and a delicate hint of spice and vanilla. Light-bodied yet structured, it offers a smooth texture and vibrant acidity, delivering a refined balance of fruit and freshness. Subtle earthy undertones and fine tannins round out the elegant finish. Versatile and immediately enjoyable, this wine pairs beautifully with cold cuts, roast meats, poultry, pasta dishes, and mature cheeses. Serve slightly chilled to highlight its freshness.

On the nose there are aromas of citrus, as well as honeydew melon and some stone fruit (peach and nectarine). In addition there is a hint of struck match which adds complexity and a flinty minerality. The palate is concentrated with refreshing acidity and a lingering finish.

The palate is generously full and fruity with plush velvety tannins that lead on to a lingering tangy aftertaste. While ready to drink on release we expect this wine to improve for several years and live for well over a decade with careful cellaring.

Upon release the wine is bright ruby in colour. There is a teasing array of vibrant red fruit on the nose including raspberry, pomegranate, cherry and plum. Spice and herbal notes, as well as a savoury underlay, add to the wine's complexity. While the palate has generous fruit weight and velvety tannins, it is balanced with refreshing acidity and a structure that gives the wine classic North Canterbury tension and pinosity.
